As much as it is vital for Brightest Star to raise funds to enable us to achieve our aims, there is another key focus that sometimes gets lost. Close to my heart is raising awareness of the Charity, its aims and the tragic circumstances that led to it being founded. Each event this year has been a great success and each one of our supporters has been essential in ensuring that Brightest Star is recognised across the country.

Given the amazing uptake and feedback from the Men & Women’s 10k this year, Brightest Star is happy to announce that our next Official event will be the Great Scottish Run on 6th October 2013. This event is open to both men and women and there is the option of doing a 10k or the half marathon so there is something for everyone. Whether you want to walk, jog or run, we hope that you choose to join Team Brightest Star.

This is one of Scotland’s largest events and this year, it will be televised live on TV. What would be a better way to raise awareness of Brightest Star than to put your Green Jacks Army T-shirt on and take to the streets of Glasgow on Sun 6th October 2013.
