7 Years of Brightest Star
Out of Heartache and Hope Brightest Star was created on Valentines Day 2013, less than 2 months after I lost my beautiful boy Jack.
My heart aches watching this video.
My boy is so full of life and happiness and 8 years on, I still can’t believe that he’s gone and that a virus killed him 
If love alone could have saved him, he never would have died.
As a charity, I had no idea just how much Brightest Star would grow and the demand there would be for our services
Hundreds of bereaved families have been supported through our counselling, support groups and telephone support.
Sadly, we have issued over 1000 memory boxes and there is not a day that passes when I don’t receive a message, email or telephone call from a bereaved parent, grandparent or sibling.
No matter what is going on in the world, Death and Child loss doesn’t stop and that’s a reality that nobody wants to think about. It is our job as a charity to support families on this horrendous journey as there is very little support available elsewhere.
